Collection

What types of Personal Data does Birth Baby Balance use?
Birth Baby Balance needs certain personal information to enable us to provide our products and services to our clients successfully and effectively. The personal data collected will generally include: name, email, and phone number. There are some instances where other pieces of information are collected necessary for the course or event you may be booking onto or enquiring about.
We also collect some non-personal information such as where you live (not your full address), so that we can improve our services.

Visitors to our websites
When someone visits www.birthbabybalance.co.uk we use a third party service, Squarespace Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Squarespace to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be up front about this. We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it.

Contact form enquiries
When someone books onto one of our courses using the online booking form, we hold the data within third party services (Acuity Bookings, Squarespace web hosting and Mailchimp). We only then use this data to contact you for the reasons you have consented your data to be used for in the first place.

E-newsletter
We use a third party provider, Mailchimp, to deliver our incredibly infrequent e-newsletters. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter.

For further information about these third party providers’ policies, please see their individual Privacy Policies.

Protection

Emails
Our emails are protected by the encryption systems used by our third party email providers, such as Transport Layer Security (TLS) and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). If your email service does not support TLS or SSL, you should be aware that any emails we send or receive may not be protected in transit.
We will also monitor any emails sent to us, including file attachments, for viruses or malicious software. Please be aware that you have a responsibility to ensure that any email you send is within the bounds of the law.

Paper files
We keep any hard copies of your data securely stored. We keep it for seven years and then destroy it.

Computer files
All data is securely stored using password encrypted third party storage systems. Personal computers are also password encrypted.
